Ever wonder where the name 'EsJay Computers' came from?
You're not alone - many people have asked that question!
EsJay, pronounced like the letters "SJ", has roots dating back to
the 1980's. The name is derived from the owner's name. Scott J
Brunton. To differentiate his name (for the purpose of "snail"
mail, phone calls, etc.) from his father's name "Scott", he adopted
using his different middle initial in all correspondence.
Eventually, Scott J. was shortened to SJ. It wasn't until his
college days at Purdue, however, that the name "EsJay" was actually
penned. Scott started writing short stories under the pen-name
"EsJay", which is the abbreviation "SJ", only spelled out.
